Steven Brandon, Son "Today a great man has been called home to be with the lord. He is my father, my best friend, my hero, and my mentor. He was rough around the edges and a bit ornery but he was loving and caring and would give his shirt off his back to a complete stranger if they needed it. He served his country proudly for 23 years in the Navy, he was a Vietnam Vet and agent orange victim. He was my rock and my guiding light when I felt lost. He always knew how to fix every problem even if he wasn’t always right he loved every one and never met a stranger. I love you dad I will not fail you!"
Dalton Brandon, Grandson "To begin this man was more than just an “ordinary” grandfather. This man was a person with so much knowledge and wisdom. My
grandfather was a man with a heart full of unconditional love. He used to take me and my cousin wyatt swimming after school everyday after we got done with homework back in elementary school. He also drove 30 minutes everyday to pick me up and take me to school so I didn’t have to ride the bus for three years. I not only had a the best grandfather I had the most selfless person as my grandfather as well. I love him so much and I’m so appreciative for being able to have someone like him in my life time. He was also a very good prankster as well. He fulled me into eating a deer heart raw because it was a “family tradition.” Just so you’ll know it wasn’t a family tradition. He was also a huge role model to me. “Family,” he preached was the most important thing to have. Family is your first priority. He some how always found a way to help me out when I got myself into a predicament. He as well always was my first go to when I had car troubles or a question about the law. To only be able to have one grandfather in my life, and for him and my grandmother to raise me for as long as they did, it’s hard to see him pass. He was the best grandfather any grandkid could of asked for. But I know he is no longer in pain. He is my hero and he will always be a man I look up to. I love you grandpa and I know you are safe and out of pain. Rest In Peace grandpa you’ll forever be missed and never forgotten."
