New Scholarship: "Last to Fly the Herc Crew"

$2,600 has been donated to the TACAMO Foundation for the Last to Fly EC-130 Hercs Crew Scholarship. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated. We truly have an amazing team, and I hope we can all look forward to reunions in the years ahead.

Over 35 years ago, we all landed at Barber's Point, where the Herc and the Ironman Squadron were waiting for our skills, dedication, and commitment. With modified mission tasking, a no-standdown aircraft transition, and a homeport change on the horizon, we faced every challenge head-on—and we succeeded. We’ll continue to talk about and share those Cold War sea stories until we’re all gone. That's what warfighters do.

The friendships we’ve built over the years make these times even more special. The fact that, as a team, we’re able to help make a dependent’s dream come true by paying it forward and giving back to TACAMO—who set us up for life—makes it all the more meaningful.

So, as we look forward to our next opportunity to meet and remember (as best we can—ha), here’s to all of you—KEEP YOUR KNOTS UP!!!

Very Respectfully, Irish
