TACAMO Fallen: Corey Jamison Meek
March 14, 1983 - February 1, 2025

Captain (Ret) Corey Jamison Meek, 41, passed away unexpectedly in Seminole, Oklahoma on February 1, 2025. Corey was a decorated veteran who spent 21 years on Active Duty, serving in both the Navy and the Air Force.
Corey was born on March 14, 1983, in Ada, Oklahoma. He lived most of his childhood years with his mother, Janice and step-father Robert LaRose in Marathon Key, FL and Walden, NY where he graduated from Valley Central High in 2001.
On his 18th birthday, Corey enlisted in the Air Force and was first stationed at RAF Lakenheath, UK, where he worked as a Crew Chief on F-15E Strike Eagles. While in the UK he met Nicola Walls with whom he shared 4 children.
From there, he was stationed at Warner Robbins AFB, GA until briefly separating from active duty before attending Navy Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island. Corey commissioned as an Ensign in 2010 and was sent to flight school at NAS Pensacola, Florida, where he received his wings. He later obtained his private pilot license. From Pensacola, his first assignment was at Tinker AFB, OK where he became a Naval Flight Officer Evaluator and Mission Commander on the E-6B Mercury. In 2017, Corey cross commissioned to the Air Force to fulfill the rest of his military career as a Navigator on the E-3. Corey received his master’s degree in Aviation Technology from Oklahoma State University in 2017, and was in the process of completing his PhD in Aviation and Space through the same university at the time of his passing.
Corey is survived by 3 sons, Reece Meek, Archer Meek, and Maddox Meek and their mother, Nicola Walls Meek of Choctaw, OK; his mother, Janice Brown LaRose and step-father, Robert LaRose of Abbeville, Alabama; his sisters, Cassandra Benoit Curry (Miles) of Sneads Ferry, NC, Amy Benoit of Martinez, GA; Lindsay Haley (Michael) of Bristow, VA; step-mother, Debra Roles Meek; step-brother, Kevin Jones; step-sister, Laura Jones all of Ada, OK; and his long term partner, Anna Clapp of AK; as well as many other loving relatives and friends near and far.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert T. Meek and his daughter, Regan Abigail Meek.
Corey was a loving father, son, brother and loyal friend who will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him. Being with his boys, Reece, Archer and Maddox was his most enjoyed and cherished time. He always wanted the best for his family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2:00pm, in the chapel at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK.
